We have five distinct Programs at Eighth Avenue Place:
Eighth Avenue Place Coffee Shop
We believe that true “fellowship” takes more than meeting for coffee hour. In fact, we think it takes an entire coffee shop—literally!
A Life of Worship: “The Gathering” and Worship in the Coffee House
We gather on the first and third Saturdays of each month around tables of good food and great stories. We also have a new Wednesday evening Service twice a month.
Drug & Alcohol Recovery and Partnership with Christian Counseling Associates
Eighth Avenue Place continues to be a place of healing and support for those who are interested in living a life free from the grip of addiction.
In 2012, Eighth Avenue Place began an endeavor to offer urban youth gain employment for the summer months. It began with a few lawnmowers and a willingness to serve. Today, Valley Landscaping continues to offer summer employment while also offering quality lawn care and landscape services.
Barrett ACTS Reading Program
Eighth Avenue Place is joined with different local churches in serving Barrett Elementary School in Homestead. Volunteers read to and with first graders, as well as work on material given by staff from Barrett.
